Fire District 8 Station
|
Fire District 8 is located at the south end of Pend Oreille County along the Washington-Idaho border ending at the Spokane County line.
Thank you Newport and the surrounding community for contributing to our raffle! We raised $535.41 toward our well!
A special "Thank You" to Penny Funkhouser for organizing the event and the volunteers to help, to Alice Scott for making and donating the quilt, and to Penny, Sam and Laura for donating their time on Saturday mornings to raise funds!
Reflective Address Signs Available
In an emergency, minutes lost looking for an address can mean the difference between life and death, a home saved or a home lost.
Fire fighters in Fire District 8 are offering highly reflective, red and white address signs to increase visibility for emergency services. Signs are $10.00 each which includes brackets and lag bolts for mounting. Call the station or to order yours or to learn more.
Volunteers Needed!
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for Fire District 8, we welcome you to join us. Openings are available for fire fighters, EMTs, and community volunteers to serve in non-operational support positions.
Fire District 8 is made up entirely of volunteer fire fighters and EMTs. Other volunteers donate time to help run the administrative side of the organization, while others prepare food and beverages for fire fighters involved in incidents. Still others help by giving donations. Together we make a great team! If you would like to help too, please contact us at the email address or telephone number above.
