During Governor Gregoire’s absence, Lieutenant Governor Brad Owen has extended the burn ban until midnight on Monday, October 15, 2012. The ban now covers the entire state of Washington.
The ban is on all outdoor burning. “Outdoor burning includes but is not limited to campfires, bonfires, residential yard debris clean-up, trash disposal, land clearing, weed abatement, agricultural burning activity and ignition of fireworks.”
Note: No distinction is made between campfires in “improved” campgrounds or campfires in the woods. This proclamation bans all campfires.
